Yesterday a friend and I took our kids to this indoor playground. Several of our kids went by and I heard a lot of "Shut up" being said. No one was made, they were just all playing around, not even really saying it to each other, just saying it for fun. I spoke with Burke about it, because I had actually heard him saying it. I hadn't heard Will, but I figured he was probably in on it too. So I asked him about it. "William, did you say shut up?" Williams response. "Uh, did you hear me say it?" He wasn't about to give himself up unless he was already caught. I had to laugh at his repsonse. I finally got it out of him that he had said it two times, and we discussed that we don't use those words. The same thing happened a month ago when I slyly caught William hit Burke. I asked William if he had hit Burke and William said, "Did you see me hit Burke?" What a sneaky boy! Funny, though.

My grandma lost her baby with a fitted sheet over her head. but it was the plastic part (that used to go under the sheet)...scary though!
I remember one of the three oldest coming home from middle school (6th to 8th grade) and asking me, "Are you sure that shut up is a bad word?" My supposition was that they were hearing things that made shut up look like child's play :)! Ah, the real world! :(
that is so funny... kids are pretty smart about getting caught. :)
Emma does the same thing! She thinks that as long as no one sees her, then she hasn't done anything wrong. When I punish her for doing something she shouldn't have, her response is "But you didn't see me do it!" Oh, the joys.:)
You Bennions have no lack of adventures! We found Riley last night wimpering with both legs stuck through the slats of our crib. Not near as ingenious as climbing under the sheet though:) When Sean was in kindergarten he was nervous about saying words that were bad, so he made Ben tell him all the bad words before school one day so he would know which ones not to say. I think he just wanted to hear Ben say them:) Are you guys moving back this direction? What are your plans these days? We're anxious to get together!
Seriously sneaky boys! They sure know how to work us over sometimes. Fitted sheets would be no fun to get stuck in. Poor guy.
What funny boys you have - hiding under sheets and hiding naughtiness, too! :) I love those funny little moments.
