Last week my family came into town. We had such a great time with them. My parents came as well as my brother Aaron and his wife Melissa. We saw sights in Copenhagen and took a four day trip down to Germany as well. I wish the rest of our family could have been here too! I am glad we will be going home to visit soon to see them in the states.

This picture was taken in front of Soro lake. My great grandfather, Christen Petersen, was born in Denmark, baptized a member of the Church here, emigrated to the US, and later came back to Denmark (leaving his family) as a missionary for two years. He baptized in this lake while on his mission.

This is the city where Christen Petersen was born.
Fields close to Tystrup. We saw hundreds of these fiels as we drove to Tystrup, about one hour away from our home. We also have fields of this crop near us in Virum. It is rapeseed, used to make canola oil. The bright colors are beautiful to see.
Granpa P. and William in the churchyard in Tystrup. William was sticking right by his grandpa's side. He yelled over to me, "Mom, I'm over here with grandpa. We're taking pictures." So nonchalantly. I liked how he said we're taking pictures instead of Grandpa's taking pictures. I guess they were a team. It's been so fun to have my kids be able to spend time with their grandparents and aunt and uncle. Family is the best.
