This kid eats SOO much sometimes. I just had to document his dinner the other night. We had omelettes and potatoes. I made an omelette for the boys with ham, avacado, tomato and cheese. Burke scarfed down half of a three egg omelette. He ate some potatoes. He finished off all of the extra ham and avacado and cheese. He was still going strong so I scrambled him another egg, which he quickly ate. So I got out a container of yogurt--he ate through that one and another container. Burke is going to be a linebacker when he grows up!
This is a family in the ward that lives two doors down from us, the Leits (this picture is minus the dad and two older kids). They are the nicest family. Their two youngest (in this picture), especially the boy, are maybe our children's most favorite playmates in Copenhagen. We go over to their house to jump on their trampoline and often end up staying for a few hours. Matthias and Maria just take our kids and entertain them. Here's what I think is so cute...lately, one or both of them will just come over and knock on our door and ask if they can play! Ten and eleven year olds asking if they can play with a three and one year old! It's the best! I've had a few really relaxing times cooking dinner while they boys were playing with Maria. Yesterday Don and I were doing some yardwork. We'd just kind of started when these two came over. We had three uninterrupted hours of doing yardwork while they played with our kids in our house and out around the yard. Matthias has so much energy and will just run and wrestle with the boys nonstop. He can make William laugh harder than anyone else can, I think. Although Don gets William to laugh very hard, too, and often William will ask Dad if he can "be funny!"
Anyway, I just love this family. This picture was actually taken on William's birthday. They somehow found out it was his birthday, and came over that night (believe it or not, this picture was actually taken at about 9:30 pm--can you believe how light it is outside?) and brought William a birthday card and some American money to buy a present. We were leaving for the states the next day, which was the reason for the American monay. What great people.
