I can't believe he fell asleep like this--I think this is about the 5th picture we've taken of William in really funny sleeping positions!
A view of the ocean right by Amalienborg Palace. Directly to the right of this (I didn't get a picture) is a new Opera House, right on the water...I'm planning on dragging Don with me to one of those operas while we are here!
A view from our "hotel house" window. Don got a great shot.
A senior missionary couple, the Petersons, invited us to their apartment for Thanksgiving. They even managed to make mashed potatoes with nothing to really mash the potatoes with! The couple sitting to my right, the Wainscotts, work for the Embassy and can get American food from the military commissary. So they got two turkeys and pumpkin pie filling. It was a realy Thanksgiving Dinner. The man in the left of the picture is the mission president here (from the states) and the woman and two girls on the right of the picture are his family. They are in our ward and are so nice. And the girls are perfect babysitting age! Another senior missionary couple came, the Kjaers from Utah, and a Danish lady. We had a great time.

You sure know how to update. Thanks for all the pics and info. What a great adventure you guys are having. The surroundings look amazing, beautiful buildings. Have you found other english speakers to hang out with? Are you finding things to do with your days? What is the TV situation like? I'm going to miss being able to see you :( I love the picture of the harbor and all those pretty buildings, and the one of William. To be a kid again and sleep in such strange positions. Glad to see you're doing well.
That is a gorgeous view! And what a funny kid William is, falling asleep in all these random positions. Those are the greatest pictures, though. I'm glad you guys got to celebrate Thanksgiving with a bit of American atmosphere. :)
great posts Amy! what an incredible city--it sounds like a blast. great exploring skills!!
Wow! I feel like I'm traveling the world every time I read your blog! It's great! I don't think I'm clear on what it is your husband is doing in Denmark or how long you're going to be there. Do tell. I work for the U of U's Bioengineering Dept. on a Bionic Arm project for the National Dept. of Defense. I'm part of a team that builds neural prosthetic devices. It's very complicated, but it's a great job. Layne is the project manager for a company called 3D construction. It's been a great opportunity for him. We're loving it here in SLC and have had fun seeing all the friends and family who pass through town. Keep up the great posts!
This looks like such a beautiful place, Don is a talented photographer! I think William is a textbook candidate to someday become a sleep walker. I was thinking of you guys at thanksgiving, wondering what you were going to do. I'm really glad you found some familiarity there! When are you guys gonna be in AZ?
